As an introduction my name is Steve Lamb and I can usually be found cooking somewhere off the Baja Coast of Southern California and Mexico on sportfishing boats. Fishing San Clemente Island, Catalina , San Nicolas & Santa Barbara Island.  Currently I work as the head cook for the Red Rooster III out of San Diego, CA.  Trips go to the islands of Guadalupe, Cedros, San Benitos, San Martin, Jeronimo Island, Nativiad, Pt. Euginia Rocks, Alijos Rocks, Magdalena Bay, Hurricane Banks and  Cabo San Lucas.  We will be fishing for Albacore, Yellowtail, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Calico Bass, White Seabass, Grouper, Dorodo, Wahoo, and Rock fish.  Seen on these trips are Great White Sharks,  Dolphins, Gray Whales, seabirds including Frigates, and Humpback Whales. This past year I spent 60 days on the water with Searcher Natural History Tours.  These 15 day trips visited the coastal waters and islands off of Baja, California into the Sea of Cortez and its many islands ending in Cabo San Lucas.  On our 1st trip of the year we saw a rare Byrde's whale. Humpback whales off of the Gorda Banks, peregrin falcons, blue-footed boobies, sperm whales and visited the Isla San Jose, Punta Colorado, Puerto Gato, Isla Catalina, Isla Espiritu Santo, Bahia Magdalena and Laguna San Ignacio.

 My love of the ocean and fishing has brought many opportunities. When not cooking, I can be found on the deck taking video and pictures of the trips to be made into DVD’s and gallery photos. 2006 brought back the Butt Ugly Fishing Team.  B.U.F.T. is a line of T-shirts sold through this web site. Candy Catchers is a line of squid jigs and Albackore is a line of fishing tackle bags and accessories that we are selling.  We are producing White Seabass jewelry made out of the stones found in the White Seabass. We have set up drop off points at tackle shops in So. California for fishermen to drop off their stones and have their stones mounted into earrings or pendants.  In 2007, we will be offering charter trips out of Santa Barbara and Port Hueneme with Apollo Charters Sportfishing and Mirage Sportfishing.  Fishing the Islands of Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa and possibly San Miguel.
